I'm not a fan of hit counters because they simply make your page look outdated. Also the number of hits is really only important to YOU not your visitors. However, since .Mac hosted websites don't offer any traffic reports to let you know how your site is doing, a Hit Counter is your only way of knowing.

1) Open iWeb and go to the page that you want to put the counter on.

2) choose Insert->Button->Hit Counter from the menu bar.

3) Click the Publish button to upload the change.

This will put a counter on that page starting a 01 with the next visit. Unfortunately it's not retroactive.
