At his last MacGroup meeting, Scott had lost a considerable
amount of weight. Somewhere around 80lbs or more.
Take a look at our meeting picts here.

That's a thorough backup strategy!

It would be an even better backup strategy if Adobe would cooperate with a DVD jukebox manufacturer to archive terabytes of photos using Lightroom. It's something businesses and pros need. As well as videographers. Terry - I am asking for a low-cost solution, ready-to-run solution. Some companies have tried it, and failed, for a variety of reasons. Adobe has the expertise to succeed - and the "muscle" to establish standards (formatting and cataloguing standards, most of which exist to some extent). Adobe needs to "glue" some DVD middleware and cataloguing software onto Lightroom.

As you may know, hard drives are NOT terribly good archival media with a 5 year lifespan. That's the life of the magnetic domains - not the mechanical parts. Most other media has a longer archival life - including paper!

We live in the Age of Lost Digital Media. The vast majority of digital photos will be lost, even though digital generations are supposedly "lossless."

That's why LR (and other Adobe products) have an SDK! Talk with your favorite juke box vendor and have them get on it pronto. The ball is in their court.

You can never go wrong by doing the right thing.

4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions.

There are three kinds of people, those who are good at math and those who aren't.

There are two kinds of computer users: those who have lost data and those who are about to — backup your Mac!

SDK = Software Developer Kit
An SDK allows 3rd party developers to develop add ins/plugins, etc. to add to the functionality of an app or device.
