Yesterday during the meeting when I showed AirDrop the question came up "can you use AirDrop to send files to an iPad?" The answer is no because there is no AirDrop for iPad at this time. However, there is a way. If you're on Lion 10.7.3 then you can download the Messages Public Beta. You can then use it to send files back and forth between your Mac and your iOS 5 devices. Just attach the file and Message it to yourself.
You can never go wrong by doing the right thing.
