If you ever have need to zoom in on a screen to see better, try this tip. It requires a Mighty Mouse and I think 10.5. Just hold down the Control Key and move the scroll ball. You can zoom in and out easily. This also works when you use the Universal Access/Zoom settings.

Has always worked in 10.4.x Tiger, maybe Panther too(?). I think that any scroll wheel mouse may do it. Enabling Zoom "On" from Universal Access Pref Pane lets you also use keyboard shortcuts (CMD,Option, = or +. and CMD/Option -) to zoom the screen.
