Look at your Dock. Which apps do you have open right now? Do you have those apps open everyday? If so, why not have them open automatically when your Mac starts up or when you login?
1) Click and hold down your mouse on the icon in the Dock for the app that you want to start up each day. 2) A menu will pop up offering the choice: "Open at Login". Choose this option Now whenever you restart your Mac, that app will launch automatically. ---- You can never go wrong by doing the right thing. 4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions. How long has this been there. I know I have "clicked" on the dock icons before but I must have just "not" seen the words. In the past, I have done this through the prefs/accounts/login items but this is a real nice short cut ... Thanks

Must be a 10.4 feature. I only get 'Show in finder', 'hide' & 'quit'.

Yes, new with 10.4. Of course, you can do the same thing in Accounts by setting up Login Items (which is all the dock menu does for you).
