The iPhone doesn't have a Currency Converter app built-in. However, you can use the Stocks app to do the same thing.

1. Go to the stocks app
2. Add a new stock
3. Use the format <Currency symbol 1><Currency symbol 2>=X (example to convert US Dollar to Canadian Dollar would be USDCAD=X)
Done!

Add as many as you want. I've added CAD, EUR and ZAR. Now if only the USD were stronger Frown

Where do you get the list of 3-character symbols for the various currencies?

This worked for me in finding the Pound, so others here might work too.

So, why does this not work in the Apple Stocks desktop widget? Typing in USDEUR= returns "No matching symbols". You'd think the iPhone and Touch programs would work the same way.

Because you left off the "X"
try USDEUR=X
