If you've been using Tiger, you've probably have tried Spotlight at least once. However, sometimes I'm looking for a file to open while I'm already in the app that I want to open the file into.
Next time that happens to you try this tip. Go ahead and choose "Open" from the File menu in your application. There will be a Search box there and you can type in the name (or part of the name) of the file that you are looking for. Your Open dialog box will be transformed into a Spotlight search box. Once the file comes up in the results you can double click on it to open it. ---- You can never go wrong by doing the right thing. 4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions. There are three kinds of people, those who are good at math and those who aren't. There are two kinds of computer users: those who have lost data and those who are about to — backup your Mac! |
