I went from CS to CS3 - there is obviously a slight learning curve... In CS Illustrator - when I received files from other agencies I could select all of the artwork and in the Filter Menu - Select colors - Convert to CMYK - (this would change all the PMS & RGB to CMYK) Gradients still had to be manually adjusted. Anyway, I cannot find that filter in CS3 - Is the a different or better way to do this in CS3? Thank you, Lorelei
First of all, with the file open in Illustrator CS3, go to File/Document Color Mode - and make sure that CMYK is checked - and, not RGB.
Then, select all of your artwork and layers that you want to convert - and go to File/Edit Colors/Convert to CMYK.
Adobe just moved it to a different location.
Here's a small tip for future things that you might want to achieve, regardless of the program. Simply use the Help menu. Normally, you can find an answer quickly.
