Depends on the printer and how and what it is actually connected to. Have you done it before with this printer? This computer?

well no,,,I used a canon 900D
now it's a HP phototsmart 3180 using MBPro |

Click on the + sign in the lower left to add a printer.

so i presume that you mean hit the + sign in Print and Fax ,,,I did that and nothing happens,,,I certainly can delete with the neg button
