I believe that the iphone cannot connect to an airport extreme n 5 gig network. If that is true, how would I set up my network to run at optimal speed and still be able to use the iphone as a remote on the network? If I set the network to accept g speeds, will it slow down the network even if only n peripherals are connected? I could keep the iphone wireless setting off, until I needed to use it. Is it possible to set up two different networks with one airport extreme?
Thx. Rhonda |

Set it up to be both G and N. The newest Extremes can set up two separate networks, one N and one G (as an example).
If you go for a single network set to N/G, the network will only slow to G speeds if you are connected to it with a G device. What else will be on your wireless network? If you don't have anything that is transferring large files or streaming video, just leaving it set to N/G is probably fine. === Professor Hubert Farnsworth: “Nothing is impossible.
