Just for the record: Cleaning out some OLD stuff. Opened a few floppy disks from yesteryear. One had a pdf from 1998. It opened just fine with Acrobat 9 Pro (an old newsletter, some fancy graphics.)
- I have an external floppy drive tucked away for rescuing anything from back-in-the-day. Not much really needs to be rescued. Am mostly throwing things out. Just thought the longevity of pdf format is interesting, in view of the obsolescence of so many things. THE LESSON: Save those essential docs as pdfs if possible.
Another "find," jpg images seem to save OK. Opened some old CD's with files from 2002 (family picts), and they opened with Preview OK.
P.S.: Anybody want some old Looney Tunes floppies? Bugs Bunny, Tweety Pie & the gang. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Mary Jo Disler,
