Hi,
I need my PS CS2 Serial Number in order to obtain a PS CS3 Beta Serial Number. Does the Serial Number reside somewhere on my computer for quick and easy retrieval? I hate the thought of going through my "mess of CDs and manuals etc" to find it.

Thank you!

Sincerely,
Carol

Nope. If you registered on-line, you can sign-in to the Adobe customer site and get it. Otherwise, you need to dig up the disks. There's a serial number inside Photoshop, but it is (in)conveniently missing the last four digits for some reason.

Carol, looking at the specs of your G4 from another thread I'm doubting CS3 will run all that well on your Mac. I'm doubting it will run on my Dual 533 MHz G4. Time to start saving up for an Intel Mac!

System Requirements
For Adobe Photoshop CS3 beta, recommended system requirements are as follows. For Macintosh: Mac OSX 10.4.8 or 10.5, 1 GHz PowerPC® G4 or G5 processor, Intel based Macintosh. For Windows: Intel® Xeon® , Xeon Dual, Centrino® or Pentium® 4 processor, Microsoft Windows XP with Service Pack 2 or higher, Microsoft Windows Vista. Both platforms require 512 MB RAM and a 1024x769 resolution screen. Photoshop CS3 beta will expire soon after the launch of Photoshop CS3 in Spring 2007. Details on final pricing, system requirements and availability have yet to be determined

Hi Bibo,

Thanks for your "Eagle Eye" and lateral thinking! However, the G4 specs in my other post pertain to my cousin's computer. I myself use an iMac G5 and a PowerBook G4, both running Mac OS X 10.4.8. I've been using Photoshop CS2 since it first became available. Am planning to get an Intel-based Mac soon and look forward to the speed boost that Photoshop CS3 will offer.

By the way, I found my PHotoshop CS2 serial number on my computer! It's on the flash screen when Photoshop CS2 launches. I was able to capture it with a screenshot! For some unknown reason, Adobe only shows 2 of my registered applications online although I've registered my various Adobe apps for at least 10 years!

Best Regards,
Carol

Carol - Glad you located your sn!
Just a note for everyone reading Carol's post: Keeping a record of serial nos. & other purchase info is, in my experience, second in importance only to backing up the computer.
- Highly recommended.! Can't tell you how many times I have referred to it.

Same for logins in a separate document - also simple WP, but with a "code" instead of the word "password."

Personally I keep a simple WP document (Appleworks for now) and everytime I add something significant - software, hardware-ANYTHING - I write it into this document - Serial no., purchase info, support contact, whatever seems important. The document is now 17 pages long, and goes back about 8 years. To locate info, just do a "Find" within the document.

I have entered the number on the back of my CS2 box and it has the extra 4 digits - - CS3 won't accept it - please tell me the page Terry went to to get the new number yesterday.

thanks

It's listed on the same page that you download the beta from:
