I get this question all the time!
Adobe announced new versions of Elements 6 and Premiere Elements 4 for Windows. However, at the bottom of the press release you'll see that Mac version (Universal Binary) is coming early in 2008.

There are three kinds of people, those who are good at math and those who aren't.

There are two kinds of computer users: those who have lost data and those who are about to — backup your Mac!

"Harder" has nothing to do with it. If you have limited resources, you are going to start with the project that gets you the highest return on investment. And *every* company has limited resources.

The native language for OS X is Objective-C. The native language on Windows is C++. They are *not* the same. While some routines might be coded in C, anything that interacts with the OS will need to be tailored to the OS.

Abobe to ship Photoshop Elements 6 for OS X in the second Quarter of 2008. They will be demo'ing the update at Macworld 2008

Photoshop Elements will run on Mac OS X 10.4.8 or higher, including Leopard. The full price version will cost $89; upgrades are $69. Adobe is taking pre-orders beginning today.

Here is a first look at Photoshop Elements 6

..."All in all, it looks like Adobe has hit the mark of making photo editing easier than ever. Elements 6.0 seems to be the perfect “next step” choice for anyone wanting to do more with their photos, while giving them plenty of room to grow. The most challenging part for many users will be waiting for that March ship date"...
