Hope that someone can help. I am using cs4. When I open bridge to display photos, the raw files will not show up. It just shows .cr2. It had been working previously. I use two cameras, canon and lumix. This may have begun after I tried to display some lumix files. Not sure on the timing though-- As always, thanks for your help.

Are these new cameras or did it work with both these cameras before?

Canon is older camera and never had a problem. Lumix is new. Pics won't work on photos taken with canon.

Probably Bridge with CS4 is to old to recognize them. What Mac and version of OS X are you using? What are the specific cameras and their respective models?

When did you start having trouble viewing the Canon RAW files?

Try this test, in the Finder, Select one file from each of the cameras and then tap the Space Bar. Do they open?

Adobe is up to CS6 for Photoshop and as I understand it each new version of bridge does Not go back and update the old ones. As a result you may have grown out of a working version.

Let us know.

You're going to need to convert them to .dng files. I had the same problem with CS3 when I upgraded to a Canon EOS 60D. (Although Lightroom can open them)

Brian=
canon is 40D--never have had problems
other one is panasonic lumix f150--never opened in bridge

I am using Lion.
As suggested, I think I will just have to convert to .dng files.

Here's the list of supported cameras and the Minimum version of Camera RAW to support each model.

Yes, your 40D CR2 files should work fine. What happens when you try to open them in Camera RAW or PS?

They open just fine. The thumbnails won't display in bridge so I can't tell what I am opening.

Is this after you've copied them to your hard drive or browsing the card with Bridge?
