I need to make contact sheets with a black background and white type. How can I modify Contact Sheet II to do that? Or how do I create an action to make what I need? It takes too darn long to do it one step at a time.

I used the following search on Google "CS3 contact sheet black background with white text". And came up with this, among others...... photo.net
Contact Sheet X (CSX) is full featured contact sheet generator for Adobe Photoshop CS2 and CS3. Written in JavaScript, the core of the package has capabilities that include everything found in Contact Sheet II (bundled with Photoshop) and contact sheet facilities found in other applications such as Adobe Lightroom. Check this out - CSX FONT Color is selectable CSX v1.3 has now been released! Finally. Many thanks to those of you who helped in beta testing. Welcome to the Contact Sheet X homepage. Contact Sheet X (CSX) is a script-based package for Adobe Photoshop CS2 andCS3 that provides a full featured contact sheet generator. The core of the package has capabilities that include everything found in Contact Sheet II (bundled with Photoshop) and the contact sheet facilities found in Adobe Lightroom. Try the Daily Build if you want the bleeding-edge version with all the latest features, patches, and bugs. PDF Documentation is available describing how to use it. Most stuff is obvious, though, so go right ahead and skip the docs. This release runs under CS2 and the CS3 Beta. CS3 is a moving target. I'll try to keep up as best I can but I can't promise CSX will work with any version other than whatever I happen to have installed at the time. There is a list of CSX Extensions that may be implemented in future releases. If you have features you would like to see, put in a feature request or send me an email. If you need support for CSX : * Download the current CSX release. Documentation is included. * Go to the Forum to discuss issues concerning CSX. * Request new features that you think are needed. * Report and track any bugs you find. * And, if you're not risk-averse, the latest builds can be found here. When file a bug report, please include your CSX log file. You can find the log file here on WinXP (or somewhere similar): C:\Documents and Settings\[user id]\Application Data\xtools\ContactSheetX.log and someplace like this on OSX: /Users/[user id]/Library/Application Support/xtools/ContactSheetX.log CSX is free for all to use and is covered by the following copyright and license. I tried the non-beta version and it keeps crashing on OSX4.11. If it did not take Photoshop down with it, it would be perfect for my needs. Anybody used it with success?

Mike:
I installed CSX this morning on my MacPro running 10.5.3 and it functions great with CS2 and CS3. I did what you wanted, a black background and white text. The following is a sample I made with CS3 that is in the format you want. The CS2 version did not put the composite in the lower right corner as this has. Possibly your OS X version is the issue. Email me if You have any comments. Brian Stone brian dot stone @ mail dot com ![]() |
