One that has matching connectors.
Seriously, what kind of connectors are on the monitor? Select a cable and adapter (to MiniDisplayPort) to match: Monitor< <--Cable--> >Adapter-->>MacBook See http://www.apple.com/macbook/graphics.html This message has been edited. Last edited by: James R. Cutler, ![]() |

And if you want to go HDMI into the monitor, you get a DVI to HDMI cable to plug into the regular DVI on the end of that little connector. You may then have to go mike out to audio in with the sound. On my particular Powerbook that's what I need. However, you have a different laptop than mine. They have them at the Apple Store. I just bought one for the 24" HP monitor I got.If you go in and tell them which computer you have and what the ports in are on your monitor, they will find you the proper cable.

For starters, see whether the cable you already have on the Acer monitor matches the port on the MacBook.
Apple page: http://www.apple.com/macbook/specs.html Apple specs say this: Video output options DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to DVI Adapter VGA output using Mini DisplayPort to VGA Adapter Dual-link DVI output using Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI Adapter ======== This Apple page states: http://store.apple.com/us/brow...p_mac/family/macbook Mini DisplayPort video output with support for DVI, dual-link DVI, and VGA video output via adapters (sold separately) "For what is age but youth's full bloom, A riper, more transcendent youth" - Oliver Wendell Holmes |
