A new phishing mail is being sent to comcast.net mail addresses, entitled "Comcast services."
(also titled as "Your account with Comcast."
quote:

From: "update@comcast.net" <update@comcast.net>
Date: June 19, 2006
To: xxxx@comcast.net
Subject: Comcast services.

It has come to our attention that your Comcast Verification details records are expired. This requires that you update your Comcast Profile records immidiatley.
Failure to update your records will turn out in account termination. Please update your records within 48 hours. Once you have updated your account records, your Comcast account will not be terminated and will continue as normal. Failure to update will result in Terms of Service violations, termination of service or future billing problems.
Please click here to continue.

Obviously, don't "click here to continue." Preferably don't even open it and send it to the Trash. This alert is also now up on the Comcast.net home page.

I always ignore any and all email Comcast sends me as 99.99999% of it is SPAM for their "special windows only" services, er features, er bloatware. It goes straight to my "Junk" folder.

Occasionally I send back an e-mail wanting to know why Windows users get more for their money (free software) than I do, but usually I just toss them too.

Not that I would ever use any of the crap Comcast is handing out anyway - I remember years ago scraping all their junk off a Windows system when I first got cable Internet. All it did was gunk up the system and show their logo a lot.
