Hello all - Just sharing a solution that might help someone. A jpg photo was emailed to me as an attachment and wound up as a mime file on this end. Stuffit Expander 7.01 accessed some text, but not the photo. On a "whim" I opened my old OS9 Stuffit 5.5 application, selected the MIME file, then from the Stuffit menu selected "Translate/MIME decode" Worked like a charm! Photo popped up on the desktop almost immediately. Apparently the Expander alone is limited.

You might consider upgrading the free Expander from 7 to the current version, 10.

Thanks Jack. Hope it does more than v.7. But I was surprised that the "old" v.5.5 of the full app did its job so well. I almost forgot it was still on my drive.
