How do I get the QuickTime plug-in into FireFox? I thought installing QT automatically went to all available browsers?

What you need is the Adobe Flash plug in, and turn off Flash in Quicktime.

This question and answer helped me, thank you. But now I'm reading about Shockwave and decided to install it. However it states I must use Rosetta mode. I don't know what implications that has for me. Right now, I use Safari most of the time and everything works just fine. I don't want to create some problem installing this Rosetta mode thingy. Should I be concerned? I'm using OSX Tiger. Thanks.

You don't install Rosetta - it's there already. It's the compatibility mode that allows you to run PPC programs on your Intel Mac.
However, you should be concerned - it would mean you would have to run Safari under Rosetta to use Shockwave. You would be forcing Safari to be slower and use more memory. I'm not sure it's worth it. === Professor Hubert Farnsworth: “Nothing is impossible. Not if you can imagine it. That’s what being a scientist is all about.” Cubert J.
