Will the Superdrive that works with the MacBook Air work on a Mac Mini? I'm thinking for duplicating a disc one could copy from the disc drive of the Air to the disc drive of the Mini.

No, it's not supposed to work with a Mac Mini or any other Mac. It was designed to work with the MacBook Air only.
I have heard rumors that it sometimes works with the latest Mac Mini, but cannot confirm this. Maybe I should attempt this tomorrow at lunch??? Dave McGuire "What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?" |

Thanks Dave, let me know. Just bought one for the MBA and I'll let you try it on a Mini. Better you smoke one than me.

The problem is explained well here (along with a solution if you want to hack the drive).

Thanks Mr. B, but I think I'll pass on the hack.

I'd pass on it too! Just seems like too much work for the reward.
