Am I the only one dropping calls with the iPhone in the Farmington Hills area? Went to AT&T and they changed my Sims card and then set me up for a visit to the Novi Apple store. Apple Store gave me a replacement phone with no improvement. Apple test bench showed I dropped 46% of the calls. I used to get maximum signal and that changed two days ago. Now I get sometimes 2-3 bars and then suddenly "No Signal" appears. Using a 3GS.

Well after proving to AT&T that I was a pain in the posterior I convinced them to check their system and Surprise, Surprise there was an outage that didn't show up until they had a few more calls. Very frustrating to be without a phone for 3 days.

I find AT&T a little short sighted in their network coverage. We have an AT&T store in or building, that has poor reception. Many people can't fully use their iPhones on the AT&T network in our building.
Last year we bid out a national contract for cell usage, based on our current usage we requested repeaters be installed in our main facility. Verizon and Sprint installed the repeaters, AT&T would only install repeaters if they got the national contract. We signed with Verizon. I have a Verizon Blackberry, once Verizon gets an iPhone, I'm buying! |
