I've upgraded to iTunes 8 and discovered I have no choices in input disc compression. Seems in earlier versions there was a choice of several compression types. I'm converting some LPs and 78rpm records to CD and my Audacity software will
only upload as WAV files. Is there any way I can go back to an earlier version of iTunes? |

Do you have the files on your computer as .wav files or are you having trouble getting them on. If they are on your computer, are they in iTunes as .wav files now? Do you want to convert them to something other than .wav within itunes?

Bill,
Is this what you are looking for? iTunes > Preferences > General Tab > Import Settings button |

Yes it is, Chita. I thought I had found it under
in Advanced before, but that sets the burn format. Thanks you very much. You and the other members are continually saving my bacon. |

I believe they did move this in version 8.
It's not your imagination. |

The term "saved my Bacon" seems to be used a lot on this iBBS.
