iTunes Plus Upgrade my Library
OK, as you know Apple only sells iTunes Plus songs now that don't have DRM (copy protection) yay! All along the way they have offered upgrades as songs get replaced in the store that you already own and you can upgrade individual songs for 30¢ each.

My question: I made a smart playlist to identify the remaining "Protected" songs in my Library and there are over 400 of them that I'd like to upgrade. I know that not all of them are available, but upon doing a couple of quick searches on the iTunes store I found that many of them are there. So how do I get iTunes to scan my library AGAIN and offer the upgrades?

Apple Support actually gave me an answer to this. Not the answer I wanted to hear, but an answer. It appears that not all labels allow for upgrades! So unless you're willing to re-buy the content, you're stuck with the "Protected" versions.

I also made a smart playlist to track my DRM songs(far less than you, 50 or so left). Every so often, I will get one or two popping up on the iTMS as available to upgrade, so there may be some hope.
