So I have 2 ipods with different music on them. One old and one new music. Now I don't have the "old music" in itunes anymore. How can I get that music into Itunes and place it onto the newer Ipod.
Where did the music on the Old iPod come from? You would need to copy those files and move them to your current computer. The iPod is designed to be a one way street. Put it on but not copy it to another computer. This is something Apple had to agree to in the early days to appease the Record labels. Lawyers keep this going
There are ways to move music off an iPod but I'm unable to explain that to you. No doubt someone else will explain how to manage this.

There are many programs available to get music from your iPod back to your Mac. Go to versiontracker.com and search on "iPod."

I think when I had 2 FireWire iPods I used to plug them both into my eMac and, when their contents were simultaneously both disclosed in the lefthand column, I could transfer between them but not to the eMac. I don't know if that works with the USB dock-connector ones.
