iPhoto edit - no pict
Hello all,
iPhoto 09, Mac OS 10.6.6

When I select a photo, then "edit," the edit window is black - no image. The "navigation" window shows the right image, but not the main editing window. ????

Just updated to 10.6.6 a few days ago.
Otherwise, ???

Tried several images - a new one from my daughter, and several older ones from my own camera. Same problem.

That's a new one. Try setting it to edit photos in another app (Elements or something), then restart iPhoto and switch it back. That may be enough to straighten things out.

OK Phyl (That's why you're a "genius.")
It worked. Set it for Elements. Quit, restarted, Elements came up OK. Changed back to edit in "main window." - Normal again.
Thanks a bunch. Should have thought of the quit/restart at a minimum.

Like my own brain, sometimes the computer or software just need a brief distraction to set it back on track. Glad it worked.
