Hi guys,
I have a couple of minor issues in Safari that I would like your input on. Safari hangs every time I click on a URL that links to the iTunes store... e.g. addresses of the form: http://itunes.apple.com/WebObj...dcast?id=(podcast_ID) (Note: This is NOT a valid URL) When I paste the exact same URL into Firefox, there is no issue and iTunes fires up as expected. The second issue is with Quicktime content. I have Quicktime Pro and usually get the little triangle at the right of the scrub bar that allows me to save the file. I'm not getting that in Safari... In Firefox, it's there! Is there a solution for this? (other than switching to Firefox, which I just don't like). OS 10.4.11 Safari 4.0.3 Quicktime 7.6.4 Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Andrew |

What, if anything, have you tired so far? Rebooting? Trying under another user? Reinstalling Safari?

Hi Jack,
My answer is all of the above. I didn't realize I could re-install Safari, so I just downloaded the 4.0.3 installer from Apple and ran it; it didn't make a difference. Andrew |

This is an issue discussed on many other forums. Appears to be a "feature" Apple has generously incorporated as of this current version of Safari. |
