I will soon be leaving Verizon for an iPhone.
Is it easy (possible?) to transfer my Contacts from the old to the new? |

from the old what?
---- You can never go wrong by doing the right thing. 4 out of 3 people have trouble with fractions. There are three kinds of people, those who are good at math and those who aren't. There are two kinds of computer users: those who have lost data and those who are about to — backup your Mac! |

It is easy if you have the right tools.
Difficult to find someone who will do it. But, you could ask AT&T or Apple to do it as part of the sale. BitPim works for many phones, if you have the proper USB cable. On Windows, I use the FutureDial Suite. Both of these do at least the contact list. The phone service vendors have crippled some other functions on many phones. |

You'll need to figure out how to import those contacts into Address Book first. After that it's easy...

This is possible ONLY if you have your contacts on a SIM card. Dave McGuire "What if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?" |

But some phones can sync their contacts to/from Address Book via bluetooth. I have a Verizon Motorola phone that can. From there they sync to all my computers and my Touch via MobileMe. You can even make changes to entries on Verizon's website and changes made on the phone sync there each night back and forth. You set that up with My Verizon. If I ever get another Verizon phone I would want to make sure it has the same capabilities. Not all of them do.
