Can anyone help me find how to get a current driver for a Wireless Optical Mouse by MS? I am now on 10.5.8, have SL on hand, but before doing the system update want to update a driver that doesn't function in Leopard. The driver is unopenable in Sys Prefs>Other where it got installed from with the transfer of stuff from my old PB and 10.4.11 on my new MBP. I would like to update the driver because I am able to use the mouse as a clicker for presentations as well as for normal use. Mactopia doesn't seem to offer anything, and I couldn't find anything on Microsoft.com

The software download master page is http://www.microsoft.com/hardw...oad.aspx?category=MK. The highest Mac OS X version mentioned is 10.5.7.

The recent version 6 driver worked with just about any wireless MS mouse and in both 10.5 and 10.6. It is up to version 7 now and still works in 10.6. The Intellipoint Preference Pane is still 32-bit, which may require System Preferences to restart.

Jack, thanks for the response. I forgot to check back and just found this. It is a Wireless Optical Mouse, at least 4, maybe 5 years old; it uses a USB 1.0 dongle. I am about to check the link/lead left me by James Cutler as well. Thanks for looking at this, and any suggestions you have may still be relevant!

James, thanks for the reference. I just now tried to use the link, but cannot get the drop-downs to function that ask me to select my OS and OS language, so no headway there. Tried both Safari 4.x and Firefox 3.5.x. Maybe it will work later?
