Apple releases Mac OS X 10.6.4
As if a new Mac mini and iPhone pre-orders weren’t enough, Apple on Tuesday also announced the release of Mac OS X 10.6.4, the latest update to its Snow Leopard operating system. The update includes a variety of enhancements, stability improvements, and security fixes that are recommended for all users.

Updated to 10.6.4 from 10.6.3 on Macmini 3,1 and MacBookPro2,2.
Had to update GPGMail.mailbundle for updated UUIDs.
Absolutely no other problems with CS3, CS4, Mail, Office 2008, Parallels Desktop for Mac V5, Toast Titanium Pro 10, Bento, Skype, Safari 5.0, and lots of other apps.
1. Did SuperDuper! backup with Repair Permissions
2. Forced Time Machine backup
3. Unmounted all external drives except the host for the update .dmg file.
4. Updated using downloaded Combo Updater.
I just updated my 24"imac from 10.5.8 to 10.6. I then downloaded the 10.6.4 combo update and loaded it. Does this mean I don't need to do the 6.1, 6.2, 6.3 upgrades, or isn't that what combo implies? Thanks for your advice. Paul
A 10.6.4 Combo update contains all the updates required to bring a system from any previous 10.6.x version to the current version.
Be certain to run Software Update after completing the upgrade.
Another 10.6.4 update report:
Macmini3,1 with 10.6.3 and loads of Apps
Reinstalled Canon software for i900D
Install would not progress until I repaired permissions -- a couple of system files were changed.
No other bad symptoms.
Followed process as noted in previous post with extras before 10.6.4 upgrade -- this is a production system.
