CNET reported an update to OS X and when I select Software Update under Apple icon, I am sent to the download dialog box and after verifying my identity it starts to download and after about 5 minutes tells me it can not save the download due to a damaged digital signature or that the file has been altered. ???? anyone know anything about this? The update is to 10.5.7

George, one of the tech sites recommended using the combo updater after doing a backup. That's what I did, and haven't seen any problems yet. You can download it here:

Thanks Phyllis, That worked- so far. I'm waiting till later to update my other machines- just in case there are problems that show up later.
