The Notes that sync with iPhone/iPod touch is NOT a separate application. It's built-in to Leopard Mail.

Your notes will be listed under (I don't get this at all) Reminders on the left hand sidebar.

Notes created on your iPhone or Mac (via Mail) will be sync'd back and forth.

I love this feature and it's something I've been asking for since day one! However, now this seems to be the only data that you have to sync via a cable (not media, data). All other data can be sync'd over the air with MobileMe, but not Notes! sigh

Maybe in Snow Leopard or iPhone 3.1. The framework is there because notes already sync up to MobileMe. So it's just the iPhone OS that needs to be updated for this.

What i mean is I opened a note to edit the info and it won't let me type on it. That's what i need ...typing on the iphone is tedious for my big paws and I need to keep notes on certain items that i can edit either atr home or mobile me.

Notes typed in Mail on your computer will sync to the phone and back if you sync via USB cable.

I have created notes in both places and been able to edit them in either place.

I don't have an iPhone, but I have the touch. No problem editing notes on either the computer or the touch. If you are running the latest system on the iPhone, you can turn it and type in landscape mode. Gives you a bigger keyboard that is much easier on the fingers. And FWIW, if you accidentally hit the key next to the one you want, just slide to the right key without lifting. No backspacing needed that way.

FWIW, I had a problem a couple of months ago with a couple of apps not syncing data on my touch. I did a forced reboot, and that fixed the problem.
