If anyone has upgraded to Leopard and has an Epson printer here is the latest from Epson support on how to go about making the printers compatible with the latest OS upgrade. A simple download and install DOES NOT work.
The only part that I did not find an option for was the Print using "Epson spro 7800". On my computer it just gave me the option of "Print using" and the name of my particular printer. Hope this helps a few of my fellow mac members. ![]() |

Nina- I wonder if you have a unique situation? I just upgraded to SL and I have 3 Epson printers and they all still work?. I guess if anyone else has an Epson printer, it's worth just upgrading to SL and then trying the printer and if there are problems follow Nina's advice.
Experience is what you get when you were expecting something else. |

My printers all worked after the upgrade but some of the features were no longer available or didn't work the way they were supposed to. I also was unable to get it to upgrade to the latest driver and other software without going through the process I posted. It would tell me it had upgraded but when doing a get info on the various programs for the printers it would still show the older version only.

All I needed to do was download the latest driver for my Epson.

Don't know why that didn't work for me but it wouldn't update with a simple download and install.
