I've been trying to help a friend resolve a problem. Since re-entering/replacing a database into his Address Book, he keeps getting this message popping up - every time that he is in Mail. I asked him a bunch of questions regarding synchronization, and he hasn't done anything that I'm aware of to cause this issue.
We've tried these schemes, so far, with no success. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1627?viewlocale=en_US He doesn't use iSync - and doesn't even have a MobileMe account. Anyone have any clues as to how to stop the message popup? ![]() |

I believe that I solved the problem after quite a bit of troubleshooting, in the event that anyone runs into a similar problem in the future.
The link I provided to Apple's solutions did not work in my case - though it supposedly fixes many sync related issues. This odd problem was apparently related to creating Custom Entry Fields in Address Book. Once the Custom fields were fixed, the problem disappeared. It seems that Address Book does not like or allow upper case characters in custom entry field names. Using ALL lower case characters fixed the problem. This message has been edited.
