This was posted on another group I follow. FYI
Dear Paul Corsa,

Paul Lambert has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - New iMac - in the MAC forum of Digital Photo Pros.

This thread is located at:
http://www.digitalphotopros.co...?t=6582&goto=newpost

Here is the message that has just been posted:

Hay Jamie,
Before upgrading your new IMac to Snow Leopard, the just released OSx from Apple.
You need to know that there are big issues with Snow Leopard and Adobe CS4, and Adobe is being Pig Headed about correcting these issues. Quote, we built our product on Leopard and not Snow Leopard, so corrections will have to wait.
So, yes purchase the upgrade, but wait to perform the upgrade until Adobe gets their act together and release CS4 that will work correctly on Snow Leopard.

There may also be other replies, but you will not receive any more notifications until you visit the forum again.

All the best,
Digital Photo Pros

What have you heard Terry?

Sounds like some of those whiners really need to get over themselves. No one is forcing anyone to upgrade any software. Weigh the Pros/Cons and make a decision based on that. Once the decision is made, you'll either live with it or go back to what worked before.

Old software is exactly that... old!

I personally loved the comment "I have an office with 25 Macs and I can't afford to upgrade them". If that is really the case, than maybe you should consider a new business plan??? Geez....

Well, it's bad enough to whine about the upgrade, but it's another thing entirely to lie about it! Adobe says CS 4 will work fine (except for a couple of minor esoteric things that few people use). They're not "big issues" (read the issues at the link I posted).

I'm also surprised at all the fuss - this has been Adobe's policy all along as far as I can see - they did the same things in the past with the other version of CS when new OSes came out (non-current versions were not going to be retrofitted). So why is it a big deal *now*?
