I have three computers and the card reader was hooked up the the one I was not using.
Sometime ago I had bought a cheap reader ($5.00) from one of those gadget places. These morning I added my photos to iPhoto with out problems until I placed the card back into the camera which is now frozen (I can't change settings or shoot pictures). The message is "card locked". This has never happened to me before. I placed a new card and everything is normal. What does "card locked" mean? Will I ever be able to use the card again? Would it help if I put the defective card into the normal reader which is hooked up to the computer that I am not using but will if necessary? I don't remember who suggested a burn program instead of Toast but it is great!!! |

If it is an SD card, look closely on the side for a little slider switch that will allow you to "lock" or write disable the card.

Thank You,
Yes, the card was a SD. I never had that happen to me before. Now everything is working because I unlocked that very little switch. Another learning experience....... |

I am so grateful to MacGroup for helping me on simple (to them but not me) things. I have received more than I have been able to pay back in the many years that I have belonged.
Again, I am grateful. |
