I can easily see replacing my MacPro (2006) with the high-end iMac and coming out ahead of the game over getting another MacPro (for what I need). And the MacMini server is quite a deal as compared to adding Server to a MacMini - very good price.

I noticed that the 13" MacBooks have re-acquired FireWire ports.
If it matters to anyone, USB 3.0 ports will probably show up after May 2010 (the next likely upgrade). Maybe Blu-Ray DVD's will make it into the next iteration too, but it will require some OS X software enhancements. Steve Jobs really does want to make a (functional ) media center out of Macs.
The new MacBook does NOT have a Firewire port on it. But most users of this model probably don't care. If you need Firewire still you will either upgrade to the MacBook Pro or find the older white MacBook.
