Looking for a G4 iMac power cord. Came across a 15" 700 mhz unit at a garage sale but they lost the cord years ago.

Dave,

Many AC adapters for PCs use exactly the same form connector. The iMac connector looks different because it narrows to the cord in a shorter distance than the "standard" cord, but it is really the same. At the electrical shop, ask by the NEMA connector type. At the computer shop, tell them you have a Compaq Laptop AC Adaptor with the three-pin connector.

The female connector is NEMA LS-15 (IEC60320.C5).

Almost any electrical supply store or computer store/service shop should have them in stock.

Since you've got the specs, try these local Detroit locations:

Micro Center - Madison Heights
RS Electronics - Livonia
Electronic Connection - Westland

Or call Digikey.
