Michele, while the iPhone is GREAT and I love it. I can't understand why it needs its "own" header here. It falls under "Apple Consumer Electronics" and that has been working out great. No single Apple product, or model has its own category here.

I can be convinced otherwise, but I haven't been thus far. What's your argument for separating it out? Why would it need its own and the iPod doesn't and the Apple TV doesn't?

Others, opinions?

There are two kinds of computer users: those who have lost data and those who are about to — backup your Mac!

I say we need a catagory for the following.

1) Newton

2) Software Favorites - Times Two

3) Paul R's "AA" group.

Just kidding I concur with Terry. The "Apple Consumer Electronics" catagory should suffice. I think Michele is excited about the iPhone. Hey, perhaps she wants to start an iPhone SIG?

A couple of years ago I had suggested that separate forums be made for some of the new computers coming out at the time. Hind sight would show ( at least to me ) that they were not needed.

If the iPod never got its own forum ( and that is Apple's largest selling product ) then I am okay with putting ( and leaving ) the iPhone, AppleTV, and iPod in the Apple Consumer Electronics forum

If you remember the MacGroup meeting 2 back. I believe you came to the Mic up front and said these words

"Hi .... I'm Paul ....and I am an Alcholholic"

I laugh really hard when I saw it!

You can check the Quicktime video of the meeting

We need 2 things for the iBBS....

1) Spell Checker (I'm not pointing any fingers Calvin's way)

2) Better Audio for QT meeting files.
Paul said he was a "Mac-oholic" Big Grin

1) There is a spell checker built-in to Safari. Right Click into any webform, choose Spelling > Check Spelling as you Type.

2) How is #2 something to do with the iBBS?

Hello,

My name is Craig Rademacher. I am a member of the Mac User Group in Marquette (http://web.mac.com/mcmugup/). I wanted to let you know about a new iPhone website I have created. It is devoted to sharing free iPhone art with a Green perspective. Some of your members may want to take advantage of the free art or participate as a contributing artist.

This is a first attempt at building a community of Green artists around the iPhone. I know it sounds odd. But, what a fun way to express your commitment to the environment...with your iPhone. would appreciate any comments and feedback. It is built in iWeb.

You will find the site at:

http:www.mygreeniphone.org

Feel free to share the site with fellow Mac enthusiasts and friends. Visit often as the catalog grows over the next few months.

iPhones can be Green.

Thanks for your time. I wish you the best.
